What services does Mantle offer?
Our advisory services cover geological exploration and research, gemstone brokerage and sourcing, asset valuation and spectroscopy coordination, and expedition safety planning. We work with mining organizations, investment teams, and luxury jewelers.
How do you support gemstone sourcing?
We help define a sourcing brief, review available provenance information, coordinate specialist assessments, and plan transaction and delivery requirements. Each engagement has an agreed scope, with specialist providers involved where appropriate.
Do you operate or supervise field expeditions?
Our services are advisory. We support expedition planning, risk review, communications, and emergency arrangements. Physical field operations and supervision remain the responsibility of the appointed operators and site teams.
How is spectroscopy used in an assessment?
Depending on the specimen and purpose of the assessment, specialist laboratories may use FTIR, Raman, or UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy alongside microscopic examination. We coordinate the appropriate scope and help interpret findings, including limitations in treatment or origin assessment.
How do you approach diamond sourcing documentation?
For relevant diamond transactions, the documentation review includes applicable Kimberley Process requirements and supporting provenance records. The required checks depend on the nature of the stones and the jurisdictions involved.
How do we begin an engagement?
Email a brief overview of your project, location, available information, and objectives. The work scope, deliverables, timing, fees, and any confidentiality arrangements are agreed before the engagement begins.
